A few years ago I was messing around with a crochet hook and yarn, and I thought I'd try to make a blanket. The pattern called for 88 granny squares, and after making one, I couldn't see myself making 87 more. My admiration for my aunt and grandmother grew, as I thought of the giant blankets and intricate table runners they crocheted, sometimes from yarn the size of fine string.
I liked the way my one granny square looked, stopped at 2, and made this beanie. That project was the start of many that I have made since then. There's nothing better than getting into "the zone" and creating things from nothing. Some people create music, food, art, movies and tv shows.
I just make stuff from fabric and yarn.
